Adventures 2009 - 2010 Teaching Staff:

Infant Room - Ms. Erin Porter and Ms. Michelle Hall
Ms. Erin has 6 years experience in Child Care mostly working with infants. Erin has been with Adventures for 1-1/2 years as the infant teacher. Ms. Michelle joined adventures just recently and is mentoring under Ms. Erin.

Toddler Room - Ms. Samantha Schweitzer, Lead Teacher and Ms. Sarah Kennedy, Assistant Toddler Teacher
Ms. Sam has been our Toddler teacher since February 2009 and is pursuing her CDA credential. Ms. Sarah joined our team in December 2008. Although Ms. Sarah is new to the field of Early Childhood, she shows tremendous potential to become a great Early Childhood Educator working with toddlers and preschoolers and is also pursuing her CDA credential.

Two Year Olds - Ms. Jesse Ostanski & Ms. Genai Portillo
Ms. Jesse has her CDA and is the Lead Teacher in our 2's class. Ms. Jesse has been with us for 3 months now, Ms. Genai joined Adventures in late July 2009 and comes to us with tons of Early Childhood experience as well as her CDA certification.
 
Three Year Olds - Ms. Sylvie Simis, Ms. Jenna Warner,
 Ms. Courtney Keathley & Ms. Darby McGuinness
Ms. Sylvie has been with Adventures since we opened our doors in February 2008. Ms. Sylvie has taught our 2 year olds until recently, she has now moved up with her children to the young 3's class. Ms. Sylvie is not only our 3's Lead Teacher but also the Assistant Director. Ms. Sylvie holds her CDA and is currently enrolled to complete her Director's Credential. 
Ms. Jenna leads our class of 9 middle 3's and holds her CDA but plans to pursue her A.S. degree in the Spring of 2010.
Ms. Courtney has brought an exciting element to our program. Ms. Courtney plans on pursuing her CDA in Spring 2010 and has completed her DCF training. Ms. Courtney teaches our oldest group of 3's/young 4's. Ms. Darby is our newest addition to staff assisting with our 3's team. Ms. Darby has years of experience and her CDA certification.

VPK Staff - Ms. Amber Brown, Ms. Holly Font, Ms. Linda Brody and Ms. Wendy Skidmore
We have an incredible VPK staff this school year. 
Ms. Amber has been with Adventures since our doors opened. She taught the 3 year olds with Ms. Holly until this year. Ms. Amber brings our Science and Sensory room to life as lead teacher in this subject. Ms. Amber holds her CDA and is currently enrolled to complete her A.S. degree in Early Childhood.
Ms. Holly has also been with Adventures since we opened and has worn many hats along the way. She has taught 3's and VPK over the last year and a half and is working with our VPK students again this year. Taking over for Ms. Deanna in our math room, Ms. Holly has created a beautiful Math and Manipulatives Room for our students this year. Ms. Holly also has her CDA certification.
Ms. Linda joined our team in May of 2009. Linda teaches Literacy & Writing to our students and she holds her CDA as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education graduating magna cum laude in 2005 from the University of North Carolina. She has been a substitute teacher for Charlotte County Public Schools.
And last but definately not least...
Ms. Wendy comes to us with over 20 years experience in the field of Early Childhood. She holds her CDA certification and teaches our students in the Book Prop and Music Room. She has been with us since April 2009.
